Another show I had mixed feelings about during the Winter 2024 anime season was odd mashup fantasy Sasaki and Peeps. Initially I was intrigued by its “throw every possible fantasy trope into a blender to see what pops out”, but infortunately began to find it boring. There was enough promise that I don’t want to write it off completely, so I’ll probably watch the recently-announced second season, whenever it turns up, but for now you can read my (harsher than I expected it to be) review of the first season at Anime News Network via the link below.
