At the end of every year, the (seemingly ever-growing) editorial team at Anime News Network contribute to a large number of collaborative articles reviewing various aspects of the past year’s anime, manga, light novel, and music releases. As a relatively recent regular contributor, December 2024 was my first opportunity to be included! Below you’ll find an extensive list of links to every recent article I made a contribution to.

Winter 2025 Anime Preview Guide

At the beginning of every season comes the gruelling (for some!) Anime Preview Guide. While I’m not one of those poor unfortunate souls who must churn their way through 40–50 new anime shows every season, I do help out with sequels to shows I’ve previously watched. Here’s a few examples.

Finally, the first multi-author editorial article of 2025 is intended to show that ANN authors don’t hate isekai! While I’m not personally a massive fan of the genre, there are plenty of excellent examples within it that I do enjoy. This article covers most of them, and is well worth checking out for recommendations.

I apologise that I’ve been neglecting my Medium blog (and by extension, AniTAY) recently, but I’ve been dealing with an ongoing family health emergency that’s sucking up the majority of my time and energy. While I can’t see it resolving any time soon, I hope to be back soon with an overview of the currently-streaming anime season — or at least what I’ve had time to watch!
